SupplementLab.org runs as a meta-review. We don't run our own lab. Instead, we buy products, pull in outside test data, and check verified customer reviews. Then we score every product on the same five criteria. It doesn't matter if it's a brand we've never heard of, or one we own. Here's the process, start to finish.
1We buy retailWhere we can, we buy the exact product a reader would buy. Full price, from the brand's own store or a major retailer. No free samples, no press units, no early access.
2We gather lab dataWe pull test results — purity panels, heavy-metal and germ screens — from outside labs. We check the dose against the label claim.
3We verify reviewsWe read verified-purchase reviews on the brand's site, major retailers, and other forums. We drop paid or fake ones.
4We score itEvery product runs through the same five-point scale below. We publish cons, always — even for products we own.
Honesty note: we're a meta-review, not a testing lab. Our purity and dose data comes from outside labs, not in-house tests. We link the source data on every review where we can.
30%Effectiveness EvidenceDose of active ingredients, research behind the formula, and real results from verified reviews.
25%Ingredient QualityOutside purity and dose tests, well-absorbed ingredient forms, and no hidden fillers.
20%ValueCost per effective daily dose, versus the category average — not just sticker price.
15%Return PolicyLength of the money-back guarantee, and how easy it is to use.
10%Customer SatisfactionRating volume and trend on the brand's site and major retailers.
What we don't do
- We don't take payment from any brand for a ranking, a higher score, or inclusion.
- We don't let a brand preview or edit its review before we publish it.
- We don't hide known flaws. Every review lists cons, even for products made by companies we're affiliated with.
